Liverpool is one of the greatest and yet least visited cities of England – unless you’re a football fan, that is. But beyond the scally image of football obsession and the important legacy of pop music, the city has a wealth of astonishing cultural treasures.
In this four-night tour, we will explore the city’s artistic and maritime legacy – confident architecture, great art and world-class museums including Tate Liverpool. the Museum of Liverpool, the Maritime Museum and the deeply affecting International Slavery Museum.
This tour will be conducted by our great friend Wayne Bennet‚ until recently Director of Dillington House and a very popular lecturer and travelling companion. He specializes in (among other things) English art and architecture.
